Interacting on social media can quickly become addictive, especially for popular influencers. Unfortunately, many users prioritize social approval over honesty, often spreading misinformation without concern. Surprisingly, news shared on social media is frequently accepted as fact without verification. CLi 21.2

"Fake news," or deliberate falsehoods, often arise from individuals lacking the critical thinking skills needed to discern truth from lies. Additionally, biased perspectives contribute to the spread of half-truths, as people share opinions shaped by their own views or inherent prejudices. These fabricated narratives, often later revealed as propaganda, are crafted to manipulate others into adopting a particular viewpoint. Accepting everything we hear or read is unwise; our beliefs, attitudes, and choices are influenced by the voices we choose to determine as credible. For Christians, the Bible should serve as the ultimate source of truth, grounding our understanding and guiding us away from the deception often found online.[18] CLi 21.3

“The Lord detests lying lips, but He delights in people who are trustworthy.” Proverbs 12:22 NIV CLi 21.4

Truthfulness and integrity are attributes of God, and he who possesses these qualities possesses a power that is invincible.” Ellen White in My Life Today, p. 331 CLi 21.5
