Will the world end through asteroid strikes, nuclear warfare, pandemics, supernovae blasts, catastrophic climate change? Will other calamities bring earth history grinding to a halt? CFL 12.2

No, none of these things will bring an end to the world as we know it today.^[9] Speaking of Jesus’ second coming as “the end,” the Bible says: CFL 12.3

“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:14 NKJV CFL 12.4

“We are standing on the threshold of great and solemn events. Prophecies are fulfilling. Strange and eventful history is being recorded in the books of heaven—events which it was declared should shortly precede the great day of God. Everything in the world is in an unsettled state…. The great day of God is hastening greatly.” Ellen White in 23LtMs, Ms 117, 1908, par. 3 CFL 12.5
