Nicodemus was a seeker. He came to Jesus for a “spiritual wellness” check-up, guised in a series of questions and comments that skirted the drought in Nicodemus’ soul. Jesus cut right to the chase and told Nicodemus what he really needed—to be born again. Only the Holy Spirit could give him the gift of repentance and a desire to turn away from sin and experience complete renewal.^[10] CWe 13.2
