When you’re facing a tough time, it’s natural to feel scared or confused. You might try to figure everything out yourself, overthinking and stressing out. But sometimes, the more you try to solve things on your own, the more complicated they seem. CWe 12.2
Now’s the time to turn to God, admit you don’t have all the answers, and ask for help. Tell Him, "God, I’m feeling lost and overwhelmed. I need you." Then trust Him. CWe 12.3
When you pray and talk to God, He listens. He won’t leave you to face your problems alone. He might not always fix things the way you expect, but He will give you what you need. Maybe it’s the strength to keep going, the wisdom to make good decisions, or just a sense of peace in the middle of the storm.[11] CWe 12.4
“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord our God, He is the One who goes with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 NKJV CWe 12.5
“While you take counsel with your doubts and fears, or try to solve everything that you cannot see clearly before you have faith, your perplexities will only increase and deepen. If you come to God, feeling helpless and dependent, as you really are, and in humble, trusting prayer make your wants known to Him ... He can and will attend to your cry….” Ellen White in Gospel Workers , p. 320 CWe 12.6
Reflect: How do you remember the times God showed up for you? Do you journal? Meditate? Mentally rehearse His goodness? CWe 12.7
