Surprisingly, many people don’t understand the concept of mindfulness or how it benefits the whole body. Practicing mindfulness in every aspect of your life—spirit, body, and mind—creates a complete approach to reducing stress. CWe 85.2
In this fast-paced world, the mind often gets overwhelmed by issues from dwelling on the past, not living in the present, and worrying about the future—leading to anxiety, stress, and eventual burnout. Mindfulness helps manage these increasing levels of pressure in a variety of ways. Being aware of your body’s stress signals can remind you to engage in tension-reducing activities like stretching or deep breathing exercises. In addition to the physical benefits, mental mindfulness acknowledges your emotions, finding healthy and beneficial ways to regulate them. Feelings of anger and excessive worry don’t have to overpower your thoughts! In terms of your spirit, spending time in prayer, nature, and with positive, like-minded individuals will bring a sense of light and optimism into your life, helping dispel whatever foreboding is brought on by stress. By being mindful of unifying with Christ in all areas of your life, you can experience a lasting, unwavering peace.[100] CWe 85.3
