Saturated and trans fats, prevalent in meats, fried foods, and commercially baked goods, elevate Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, the "bad" cholesterol. This creates a dangerous buildup in arteries, increasing the risk of heart disease, stroke, and peripheral artery disease. Additionally, these fats can contribute to weight gain and obesity.[81] CWe 69.2

Sugary spikes lead to diabetes. Processed foods lack nutrients and have excess sodium, raising blood pressure and inflammation. This can damage organs, weaken immunity, and contribute to chronic diseases and even cognitive decline. Choose fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, and whole grains to extend your life, increase your energy, and decrease the risk of developing conditions like arthritis, autoimmune diseases, and even certain cancers.[82] CWe 69.3

“Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.” 1 Corinthians 3:16, 17 NKJV CWe 69.4

“People are continually eating flesh that is filled with tuberculous and cancerous germs. Tuberculosis, cancer, and other fatal diseases are thus communicated…. Many die from diseases wholly due to meat eating, while the real cause is not suspected by themselves or by others.” Ellen White in The Ministry of Healing, pp. 313, 315 CWe 69.5
