Maintaining a strong spiritual connection to God amidst life’s endless distractions isn’t easy to do. In today’s world, many temptations can easily lead us off track, far outweighing the spiritually nourishing opportunities around us. Just as we must intentionally seek God and righteousness, we must also feed on God’s promises as well. CWe 26.2

Sustaining spiritual wellness is about finding a deeper purpose in life and connecting with Someone far greater than yourself. A relationship with God grows through submission and obedience.[24] Following rituals can be a superficial effort to be spiritual if it’s not an effort to know God and His will.Knowing God can begin with simple steps like talking to Him through prayer, submitting to His leadership, reflecting on His promises in Scripture, and taking moments to appreciate the blessings around you. CWe 26.3

Your experience with God can also deepen by worshiping Him in a Bible-based church, growing through sermons, and finding fellowship and nurture with other Christians. Acts of kindness and serving others are also powerful ways to experience God’s presence - they show His love in action and remind you that life is less about self-gratification and more about serving others as Jesus did.[25] CWe 26.4

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15 NIV CWe 26.5
