While crime rates vary, big cities usually have higher incidences of theft, violence, drug use, human trafficking, hate crimes, labor union skirmishes, mass shootings, and other security risks. The anonymity and accessibility of drugs within a large city can lead to related problems like public intoxication, drug related violence, and the spread of infectious diseases. CWe 235.2

Large cities often represent economic and financial centers, making them prime targets for cyberattacks on businesses and individuals. CWe 235.3

Living in a large city requires a certain level of situational awareness and taking precautions, particularly when walking alone at night or in deserted or high-crime areas.[268] CWe 235.4
