Your salvation is secure in Jesus! Nothing can take you out of His hand, except your own choice. Your past acceptance of Jesus will not automatically ensure your future salvation if later you turn your back on Him.^[7] Paul tells us in Romans 11:22 that after we have been grafted in the Vine (Christ), we could be broken off for unbelief. Paul had been converted on the road to Damascus, but he cautions himself not to release his hold on Jesus lest he be disqualified from salvation (1 Corinthians 9:27). CSL 8.2

“When I say to the righteous that he shall surely live, but he trusts in his own righteousness and commits iniquity, none of his righteous works shall be remembered; but because of the iniquity that he has committed, he shall die.” Ezekiel 33:13 NKJV CSL 8.3

“Everyone should be taught to cherish hope and faith; but even when we give ourselves to Christ and know that He accepts us, we are not beyond the reach of temptation. God's Word declares, 'Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried' (Daniel 12:10).
