When you realize your utter inability to save yourself by your own good deeds, reach out to Jesus and ask Him to clothe you with His goodness, purity, and righteousness. As you accept His sacrifice on the cross of Calvary as your only hope in this life and the future life, your sins are forgiven, and you are accepted by God as though you had never sinned! What an incredible thought! CSL 52.2

To retain the righteousness of Christ as yours, continue daily in active obedience through the transforming strength of God’s Holy Spirit.^[52] CSL 52.3

“For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.” Romans 5:19 NKJV CSL 52.4

“Since we are sinful, unholy, we cannot perfectly obey the holy law. We have no righteousness of our own with which to meet the claims of the law of God. But Christ has made a way of escape for us. He lived on earth amid trials and temptations such as we have to meet. He lived a sinless life.
