The central theme of the Bible is the redemption plan, how God restores our sinful nature into the image of God (see 2 Corinthians 3:18). Looking at our own weakness and sinfulness, we might wonder how this could be accomplished. But what God asks us to do, He empowers us to do! God can give us the victory over all our failings through Christ (see 1 Corinthians 15:57).^[24] CSL 28.2

“His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” 2 Peter 1:3, 4 NKJV CSL 28.3
