Contrary to some popular notions, there is only one path to heaven and salvation. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”^[2] We can ask God for the gift of repentance (sorrow for sin and turning away from it). You can pray from your heart something like this: Dear Father, I realize that I am a sinner and that only Jesus can save me. I ask you to forgive me for not trusting and following You. I believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose again in new life, and I accept Him as my Savior. I ask you to come into my mind and give me new spiritual life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”^[3] CSL 4.2
