Do you enjoy seeing social media reels of the moment children find out their foster parents want to adopt them? Or when in the courthouse the adoption is finalized? Sometimes the joy is so intense, it’s almost difficult to watch.[21] How much more joy comes to us when the reality of God adopting us into His family dawns on our consciousness! CSL 24.2
“He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons [and daughters] by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.” Ephesians 1:4, 5 NKJV CSL 24.3
“As the inspired apostle John beheld the height, the depth, the breadth of the Father’s love toward the perishing race, he was filled with adoration and reverence; and, failing to find suitable language in which to express the greatness and tenderness of this love, he called upon the world to behold it. ‘Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God.’ 1 John 3:1.” Ellen White in Steps to Christ, p. 15 CSL 24.4
