Everyone goes through tough seasons — stress, setbacks, or moments of deep discouragement and depression. You’re not alone; adversity is an inevitable part of the human experience. But here’s the good news: time alone with God has the power to restore you in ways nothing else can. When life feels heavy, time with Him is where real strength and clarity are found. CMH 110.2
Isaiah 40:31 says those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength and rise up like eagles. That strength includes peace of mind, fresh perspective, and joy that isn’t based on your circumstances. In that quiet time, God gives you something the world can’t: wisdom and discernment. He helps you see your situation through His eyes and shows you what really matters. Maybe what’s been stressing you out isn’t as urgent as it feels. Maybe there’s a new direction, a healthier choice, or a door He wants to open. Ultimately, alone time with God isn’t just a spiritual practice — it’s survival, renewal, and healing. When everything feels overwhelming, He’s the only One who will help you stand again.14 CMH 110.3
