Counsel #5 — Promises Of God

Picture: Counsel #5 — Promises Of God CMH 79.1

God’s Word is chock full of promises about trusting God through challenges and trouble (see
2 Peter 1:4). Google Bible promises on freedom from worry, anxiety, fear, and stress. Copy and paste them into a list, or better yet, handwrite the promises out in a journal book. Read them daily. Meditate on them, maybe prefacing each promise with “God’s Word to me is…”[81]
CMH 79.2

“Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees, Say to those who are fearful-hearted, Be strong, do not fear!” Isaiah 35:3, 4b NKJV CMH 79.3

“The Word is full of precious promises. I shall have strength of eyesight, I shall have strength of brain, I shall have clearness of conception and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, because I ask in the name of Jesus…. I long for the benefits that we all may receive through faith.” Ellen White in This Day with God, p. 220 CMH 79.4

Reflect: How do you conceptualize God’s promises applying to you? CMH 79.5
