Counsel #26 — Influencer

Unlike what most people think, you don’t need a massive platform to be an influencer. Whether your circle is three people or three thousand, your presence can still leave a mark. As a woman, your words, choices, and actions have ripple effects. CI 126.2

The real question isn’t how many people you can influence, but how you influence them. Is your tone filled with grace or criticism? Do your decisions reflect the heart of Christ or the pressures of the world? That’s why Scripture reminds us, “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God”.[133] If you’re wondering how you can make an impact for God’s kingdom, remember, influence can start small. For example, this could look like a mom teaching her toddler to pray or a college student who speaks up for kindness in a harsh group chat—either possibly having a huge ripple effect! God designed women to be influential, and when that influence is grounded in Him, it becomes eternal. So, ask yourself: Who watches how I live? That’s your mission field. You may never know the full reach of your influence on this side of heaven, but God does![134] CI 126.3

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16 NIV CI 126.4

“The silent witness of a true, unselfish, godly life carries an almost irresistible influence.” Ellen White in Colporteur Ministry, p. 68 CI 126.5
