Counsel #25 — The Proverbs 31 Woman
Picture: Counsel #25 — The Proverbs 31 Woman CI 125.1
If you’ve ever read Proverbs 31 and felt overwhelmed, you’re not alone. This woman seems to do it all! She’s strong, wise, nurturing, respected, resourceful, and deeply grounded in her faith. The goal of this passage isn’t to point out all your flaws; it’s a portrait of what God can do in a woman’s life when she walks in faith, discipline, and love. CI 125.2
The Proverbs 31 woman isn’t defined by one role - she’s multifaceted. She brings income to her household, manages her home, encourages others, and honors her marriage. She’s thoughtful about her health and her words, she plans ahead, guards her heart, and builds others up with kindness. None of this happens by accident, but it flows from a life deeply rooted in reverence for God. Notice that she’s not praised for how she looks, but for how she lives. “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.”[131] Whether you’re married or single, working or studying, raising children or leading teams, you can embody these attributes too. It’s not about focusing on being perfect; it’s about the journey of becoming the woman God uniquely created you to be when living fully surrendered to Him.[132] CI 125.3
