Counsel #24 — Feminine EmPowerment

If you’ve ever wondered whether the Bible limits women to the kitchen or the nursery, take a deeper look. Scripture is full of women stepping into powerful, diverse roles such as entrepreneurs, prophets, teachers, judges, missionaries, and more. God has always invited women into His work, not as an afterthought, but as key players in His story. CI 124.2

For example, Deborah led an army and judged a nation. Lydia was a businesswoman who hosted a house church. Huldah taught theology to kings. Esther influenced political decisions, and Phoebe served as a church leader. These weren’t just passive characters. They were women of wisdom, strategy, strength, and spiritual depth. God didn’t create women to fit one mold, so whether you’re leading a Bible study, raising children, working in government, teaching, serving in medicine, or building a business, your role can reflect God’s character when it’s grounded in faith and love. Remember that you’re made whole when you walk in obedience to God’s calling - whatever that may look like.[130] CI 124.3

“There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28 NIV CI 124.4

“Every one of our sisters can be a living missionary, and can bring light into every meeting.” Ellen White in The Upward Look, p. 147 CI 124.5
