Counsel #21 — Your Purpose? Shine Bright for Jesus
Picture: Counsel #21 — Your Purpose? Shine Bright for Jesus CI 121.1
“What’s my purpose?” This is a question that echoes in the heart of many women, whether single, married, young, or old. The world says your value is tied to status, career, or relationship goals, but the Word of God says your highest calling is to know Jesus and make Him known. CI 121.2
Whether you’re single or married, your life has kingdom purpose. If you’re single, your time, talents, and focus are not “on hold.” They’re active tools for God’s glory. You may lead a Bible study, mentor lost girls, serve in missions, or bring light into your workplace with quiet courage and consistent love. If you’re married, your purpose doesn’t disappear into your role as a wife or mother. Rather, it develops through it. A woman and her husband were never designed to compete, and together, they should reflect Christ and His Church, using their spiritual gifts in harmony to share the gospel. Ultimately, your femininity shines brightest not in appearance, but in purpose. You were handcrafted to carry the magnificence of the gospel into the spaces God has placed you, whether that be at home, at school, or on the job. You’re not waiting to be useful. You already are! If you struggle seeing it, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal how He’s equipped you, and He will![122] CI 121.3
