We sometimes convince ourselves that burning the midnight oil is a badge of honor, a sign of our dedication and productivity. But here's the truth: sleep is one of the most important aspects of self-care, and neglecting it seriously harms our mental, emotional, and physical well-being.[89] CI 92.2
Our bodies are complex machines, and sleep is the maintenance cycle. During sleep, your body recharges and repairs itself and your brain processes information, consolidates memories, and sorts through emotions. CI 92.3
Think staying up late will help you get more done? Think again! Sleep deprivation impairs your ability to concentrate, make decisions, and problem-solve. It messes with your cognitive function. You might be surprised by how much more productive you can be when you're well-rested. CI 92.4
