Counsel #2 — Our Value

Picture: Counsel #2 — Our Value CI 27.1

If we possess healthy self-respect, we recognize our value as a child of the God who formed us carefully in our mother’s womb and has a wonderful plan for each of our lives. We’ll get distracted. We may deviate from that plan and feel consumed with guilt about our choices, but Jesus loves us and He offers forgiveness and a new start. Each person is of such high value to God that He would have died for just one of us, even if they were the only person on earth. In Christ, we are each fully forgiven and worthy of self-respect. Hallelujah![24] CI 27.2

“You were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.” 1 Peter 1:18, 19 NKJV CI 27.3

“Through this simple act of believing God, the Holy Spirit has begotten a new life in your heart. You are as a child born into the family of God, and He loves you as He loves His Son.” Ellen White in Steps to Christ, p. 51 CI 27.4

Reflect: Are you burdened? Talk to Jesus right now. Place your burden of guilt on Him and accept His full forgiveness and acceptance as His greatly loved child. CI 27.5
