Counsel #6 — Assurance Of Identity In Christ

God wants you to read His Word to learn of your identity in Him and how He feels about you. He’s declared that every person is important and vital, regardless of their status or role in the church and society (1 Corinthians 12:22-25). There is no hierarchy in the family of God. If you have accepted Christ as Lord of your life, you are safe in Him, you are forgiven, and your eternal life is secure.[21] CI 23.2
“He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.”
1 John 5:11-13 NKJV

“The greatest disquietude we can have is uncertainty. The acceptance of the blessings of God brings righteousness and peace. The fruit of righteousness is quietness and assurance forever.” Ellen White in The Upward Look, p. 99 CI 23.4
