Instead of choosing your home’s location based on where you are likely to make the most money, have the most prestige, or meet peer expectations, consider the moral and spiritual influence of the location. Life is usually distracting enough. Find a place where you and your family can enjoy God’s creation and spiritually rest in nature’s beauty. CR 85.2

Life in the city is artificial, chaotic, and enticing, usually not for good reasons. In contrast, if you’re in an environment where your children have opportunities to be responsible for pets, raise a small garden, and find the joy of playing and working in the open air, they will learn to take initiative, be diligent, and practice self-control. The closer you can come to God’s original Edenic plan, the healthier you will be physically, mentally, and spiritually. Ask God to open doors to the best living environment for you and your family.^[81] CR 85.3
