Counsel #5 — Christian Communication In Gospel Witness

Picture: Counsel #5 — Christian Communication in Gospel Witness CR 52.1

Whether through speech, actions, or mass media, Christian communication honors the name of Jesus, and provides a witness to His love and redeeming power. Whether you’re sharing the narrative of your own story, standing up for your religious convictions, or showing Jesus through your example, others will learn through your Christian words and actions what it means to intersect life with the gospel.[49] CR 52.2

“Those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word.” Acts 8:4 NKJV CR 52.3

“The gospel commission is the great missionary charter of Christ’s kingdom. The disciples were to work earnestly for souls, giving to all the invitation of mercy. They were not to wait for the people to come to them; they were to go to the people with their message. The disciples were to carry their work forward in Christ’s name. Their every word and act was to fasten attention on His name, as possessing that vital power by which sinners may be saved.” Ellen White in The Acts of the Apostles, p. 28 CR 52.4
