God, Man, and the Sabbath

Who made the Sabbath? BR-ASI9 333.10

“In six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.” Exodus 20:11. BR-ASI9 333.11

To whom does the Sabbath belong? BR-ASI9 333.12

“The seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God.” Exodus 20:10. BR-ASI9 333.13

Note.—When men make compulsory Sabbath laws, they make men accountable to the government for Sabbath observance. In so doing they are honoring the government instead of God. BR-ASI9 334.5
