A Special Message Today

When is final salvation to be brought to God’s people? BR-ASI9 317.7

“Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” 1 Peter 1:5. BR-ASI9 317.8

Is this promised blessing confined to any one class? BR-ASI9 317.9

“Also the sons of the stranger that join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of My covenant; even them will I bring to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in My house of prayer.” Isaiah 56:6, 7. BR-ASI9 317.10

Note.—It is evident from these scriptures that in the last days, when men are waiting for the Saviour to appear, there will be a call for those who really love the Lord, to separate themselves from the world, to observe the Lord’s true Sabbath, and to depart from all evil. BR-ASI9 317.11

What does God tell His ministers to do at this time? BR-ASI9 317.12

“Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew My people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.” Isaiah 58:1. BR-ASI9 317.13

What message of Sabbath reform does He send? BR-ASI9 318.1

“If thou turn away thy foot from the Sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on My holy day; and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour Him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.” Isaiah 58:13, 14. BR-ASI9 318.2

Note.—The Sabbath of Jehovah is not now, by the majority even of professed Christians, called holy and honorable. By many it is stigmatized as “Jewish.” The Lord foresaw how this would be in this age, and inspired the prophet to write as he did. “If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath.” This is a strong expression, indicating that many would be trampling upon God’s day, and doing their own pleasure upon it, instead of seeking God, and honoring Him by keeping the Sabbath holy.
