Revelation 3
And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, (Matthew 24:43; 1 Thessalonians 5:6; Revelation 16:15) I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; (Matthew 22:11; 2 Corinthians 5:3; Ephesians 4:24; Colossians 3:9; Revelation 16:15; Revelation 19:8) and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white (Revelation 7:13) raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess (Matthew 10:32; Luke 12:8; Romans 10:9) his name before my Father, and before his angels.
He that hath an ear, (Matthew 11:15; Matthew 13:9; Matthew 13:43; Mark 4:9; Mark 4:23; Mark 7:16; Luke 8:8; Revelation 2:7; Revelation 2:11; Revelation 2:17; Revelation 2:29; Revelation 3:13; Revelation 3:22; Revelation 13:9) let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, (Acts 3:14; Hebrews 7:26) he that is true, (John 14:6; 1 John 5:20) he that hath the key of David, (Isaiah 22:22; Luke 1:32) he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, (Job 12:14) and no man openeth;
I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open (2 Corinthians 2:12) door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, (John 8:39; Romans 9:6; Revelation 2:9) but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship (Isaiah 49:23; Isaiah 60:14) before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
Him that overcometh will I make a pillar (Galatians 2:9) in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, (Revelation 14:1) and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, (Galatians 4:26; Hebrews 12:22; Revelation 21:2; Revelation 21:10) which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. (Revelation 2:17; Revelation 19:12)
He that hath an ear, (Matthew 11:15; Matthew 13:9; Matthew 13:43; Mark 4:9; Mark 4:23; Mark 7:16; Luke 8:8; Revelation 2:7; Revelation 2:11; Revelation 2:17; Revelation 2:29; Revelation 3:6; Revelation 3:22; Revelation 13:9) let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, (2 Corinthians 1:20) the faithful and true witness, (Isaiah 55:4) the beginning (Proverbs 8:22; John 1:2; Colossians 1:15) of the creation of God;
I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Because thou sayest, I am rich, (Hosea 12:8; 1 Corinthians 4:8) and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
I counsel thee to buy (Isaiah 55:1; Matthew 13:44; Matthew 25:9) of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: (Song of Solomon 5:2) if any man hear my voice, and open (Luke 12:36) the door, I will come in to him, (John 14:23) and will sup with him, and he with me.
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit (Matthew 25:46; Revelation 7:15) with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
He that hath an ear, (Matthew 11:15; Matthew 13:9; Matthew 13:43; Mark 4:9; Mark 4:23; Mark 7:16; Luke 8:8; Revelation 2:7; Revelation 2:11; Revelation 2:17; Revelation 2:29; Revelation 3:6; Revelation 3:13; Revelation 13:9) let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
