Dear Brother Haskell:

We have received your letter in which you suggest that we purchase seventeen acres of land in connection with the school property at Sonoma. Brother Covell has also been to see us, and he has told us of the circumstances connected with its purchase. 23LtMs, Lt 370, 1908, par. 1

I have decided that I will secure this place in order to bring relief to the situation and have made arrangements at the bank to borrow the necessary means. I will hold the place for the present, as this seems to be the best thing that can be done. No doubt Willie will see you today and tell you of this decision. 23LtMs, Lt 370, 1908, par. 2

I trust that you may not be heavily burdened over financial perplexities. We will do our best to secure means and look to the Lord for His help. I believe that we can raise the means by the time it is required. We believe that the Lord will work the matter out in such a way that His name will be glorified. 23LtMs, Lt 370, 1908, par. 3

I am surprised at the long delay; but it may prove favorable to us, as it gives more time in which to raise the necessary means. Do not be discouraged. We know that you have had a hard battle to fight, but it is not the first time that you have been called upon to lead out in a new enterprise. 23LtMs, Lt 370, 1908, par. 4

Be of good courage in the Lord. I will try to do my best and will ask the Lord to give us wisdom that we may know how to move. Be strong in the Lord, and do not worry. Hold fast to the hand that has ever been your help, and praise the name of the Lord. 23LtMs, Lt 370, 1908, par. 5
