The Judgment to Precede the Advent

“During the same time our brethren in Maine had embraced the view that the judgment must precede the advent; that it synchronized with the harvest, and was not only at the end of the world, but occupied a period immediately preceding the end. In accordance with this view, they thought that we were in the judgment, that the dividing line was being drawn, and that the servants of God were being sealed in their foreheads, the accomplishment of which would be the signal for the four angels holding the four winds of the earth (Revelation 7:1), to loose their hold.
