CANRIGHT VS. THE SABBATH

“It is Paul who furnishes us the strong statements against the keeping of the Mosaic law, Sabbath and holy days. Let Sabbatarians meditate upon this point a little. The hottest battle which the great apostle to the Gentiles had to fight all his life was right upon the question of the observance of that law and these things; and his bitterest opponents were his own Christian brethren who were Jews. (Acts 15:1, 2; Galatians 2:1-14.) To conciliate these as far as possible, according to his own rule, ‘unto the Jews I became a Jew, that I might gain the Jews’ (1 Corinthians 9:20); he himself, as a Jew, not as a Christian, submitted to keep all the Jewish law, as we have seen.” -Mich. Christian Advocate of Sept. 24, 1887. RCASDA 51.1
