Elder J. A. Burden, Loma Linda, Calif.
Dear Brother:—
Your kind letter of the 8th inst., containing copy of the articles of corporation as prepared by the attorney, was received today, also the copy of the letter you received from Sister White. LLM 453.6
I have been expecting a reply from the letter I sent Elder Daniells, but as yet it has not come. I expect it will surely come within the next few days. Of course, it is possible he was not at home when the letter arrived, and in that case it will take longer for the reply to reach here. LLM 454.1
I am glad some are interested in the enterprise and that you have the promise of some money. I feel that we ought to have the sanction of the General Conference brethren before we do very much toward the raising of funds for the institution. While I am in harmony with the movement and believe that God will bless the effort that is put forth, provided we can secure the cooperation of all the brethren of the General Conference, still I believe we ought to wait for their sanction before we proceed. LLM 454.2
I am expecting to leave tomorrow or Friday for Imperial, where I will remain over the Sabbath, and return as early in the week as possible, so I can be here to attend at least a part of the institute. Praying that God may guide in all these matters, I remain, LLM 454.3
Faithfully your brother,
E. E. Andross.
