Dear Sister:— LLM 211.3
Last night I returned home after three days visit to Mountain View. This morning I read your letter of June 7, accompanied by copies of correspondence between yourself and the president of the conference regarding you leaving the San Bernardino valley and going to Los Angeles and assisting in the general effort being made there. LLM 211.4
It is truly perplexing when there are so many demands upon one's time, such promising fields opening in several places, and the importance of meeting all the demands and improving all the opportunities for service. LLM 211.5
I do not think I understand the plan of the meetings in Los Angeles or the urgency of the work, but I do feel a deep interest in the work which you have begun in working for the people of the San Bernardino valley, and also the work which you are doing with the W.C.T.U. people of Southern Calif., and I think I shall write to Elder Reaser, telling him some things which mother has written regarding the value of the class of work which you have been doing, and what has been shown to her regarding the good that will come from our seeking to cooperate with the noble and honorable women of the W.C.T.U. I shall also speak of our duty to take an active part in temperance work and of the benefits which may accrue to our work by drawing near to the workers of the W.C.T.U. LLM 211.6
I am hoping that when Elder Reaser learns more as to what has been revealed to mother regarding this line of work that he will decide not to hasten you to leave unfinished that which you have begun. LLM 211.7
Yours truly, W. C. White. LLM 211.8
